Chapter One

The Story

I am a dreamer who learned how to build. This is how imagination, faith and a love for people became the thread running through my life.

“I realised I just needed to be me.”

01 · Dream

I was a dreamer before I became a builder.

Growing up, I often imagined an abstract, almost perfect world. I carried a mental picture of how things could look and how people could feel.

I was curious, charismatic and sometimes a perfectionist. I did not know it then, but imagination was teaching me to see possibility.

Dreaming helped me imagine what could be. Learning to be myself helped me believe I could build it.

02 · Become

I realised I just needed to be me.

There was a time when I altered my results because I wanted to make my parents proud. Eventually, I found the methods that worked for me and began to understand my own possibilities.

I stopped trying to look successful and started doing the work. That change gave me confidence and made responsibility feel natural.

That confidence prepared me for a decision that would change the direction of my life.

03 · Build

Then coding found me.

I had completed an MA in Literature with distinction and had a promising path ahead. A friend encouraged me to try coding, and a few classes introduced me to a new kind of creativity.

I went back to my parents' home without knowing whether it would work. For months, my routine was simple: sleep, eat, code and repeat.

I fell in love with seeing messy lines of code become a useful, beautiful interface. I also loved the feeling of solving a real problem for someone.

The more I built, the clearer it became that technology was only the medium. People were the purpose.

04 · Serve

I genuinely love people.

I feel most alive when I am talking, listening or sharing ideas with people. I am an ambivert, so I also value the quiet focus that building requires.

I have learned that there is a thin line between being a people person and becoming a people pleaser. I am still learning healthy boundaries, but kindness remains central to who I am.

That love for people shapes the way I think about leadership, faith and impact.

05 · Purpose

I want to live a life of impact.

Faith has been integral to my journey. It shapes how I build, lead and serve.

Life is hard already. I want my work and my presence to make the next person's experience a little easier and happier.

That is what I hope to do through software, AI, leadership, music and Powered2Grow.

The story is still being written, and I intend to keep dreaming.

A milestone I value

Finding my place in technology.

Becoming a Member of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, means a great deal to me. I moved into software after completing my MA in Literature, so MBCS represents the distance travelled from taking my first coding classes to belonging to a respected professional community in technology.

It is not the end of the journey. It is a reminder to keep learning, contributing and holding my work to a professional standard.

The four pillars

Dream

Never stop imagining what is possible-even before the path becomes clear.

Build

Turn curiosity into ideas, and ideas into things that genuinely improve lives.

Serve

Use every gift, opportunity and platform to make the next person’s life a little easier.

Become

Keep growing into the person you are called to be, without losing the courage to remain yourself.

The next chapter

Don't stop dreaming.

I am still building, learning and becoming. The next chapter is about how I lead and the people I hope to serve along the way.
